Buying Skills

You start at character creation with 14 XP to spend.  

Skills cost 4 XP each and can only be purchased if the skill appears on your Clique or Profession lists.

If a skill is found on your Clique and Profession skill lists, its cost is reduced to 2 XP. This can result in skill refunds if a second Profession overlaps with a Clique but does not affect skills that overlap due to two professions.

Skills acquired with earned XP (anything beyond the first 14 XP) are learned through 15 minutes of role play with a teacher, a character that knows your desired skill. Record the skill, teacher, and time of learning on your character sheet after role-playing learning the skill. That skill will become available for use at the next Deuces. Clique skills do not require a teacher, but all other requirements must be accounted for.
