XP Awards
For each game you attend, XP will be added to your Player XP Pool. XP can be purchased during registration or at Ops for $10 each, added directly to your Player XP Pool. Help Points (HP) can be earned by volunteering and redeemed to add XP to your Player Pool at a rate of 10 HP to 1 XP.
The amount of XP added to the Player XP Pool is based on the number of games attended by that player. Players earn 6 XP each game.
Any character may have XP assigned to them from the Player XP Pool at any time and as much as you like, subject only to the universal character XP cap. The character XP cap is uniform for all characters and based on the total number of games that have occurred. It starts at 21(the base 14+7 for the first game), and goes up by 7 per game.
This system makes the same XP cap available to all players at any particular moment, with a bit of extra effort required each game to keep up. Since the Player XP Pool has no limit, one could store up a few extra XP and apply them over time or to a new character at some point.
In the eventual case of character death or retirement, most of that character’s XP is returned to the Player’s XP Pool. Characters with less than 50 XP (not including the 14 starting XP) get a full XP refund. For every 50 XP earned after the initial 50, the refund goes down by 10%, until at 250+ XP, only 50% returns to the Player XP Pool.
